Definition
Enhanced Conversions is a Google Ads feature that augments a conversion with hashed first-party identifiers — typically an email or phone number the user provided — so Google can match the conversion to a logged-in Google session even when cookies are unavailable.
The data is SHA-256 hashed in the browser or server before it’s sent, so raw PII never leaves the client. It comes in two flavors: Enhanced Conversions for Web and Enhanced Conversions for Leads.
